About

A graduate from Bass School Munich, Sir Paul McCartney’s fame school LIPA and the Royal Northern College Of Music Manchester, Philipp Moll joined Universal UK London in 2004 and lent his ‘growling, rumbling double bass sound’ (Gary Mulholland, Uncut) to various Universal label artists in the US and the UK for half a decade. In 2011 Phil set up a base in Bern, Switzerland, from where he is touring all across Europe, amongst others with his award-winning contemporary alpine folk ensemble Jütz. Writing  Philipp Moll is a sought-after writer and arranger for orchestra, dance, theatre, film & TV. See below for a works extract. Rough Trade likened his Killerfernandez debut album Feitaboogie to ’Massive Attack, Lamb, Ninja Tune’. His collaboration with Japanese singer Naomi Suzuki, AJ Unity, received rave international reviews and resulted in a No 14 spot in the FMQB US Official Radio Chart, pushing aside the likes of Coldplay and Adele, whilst maintaining No 1 position on the tastemaker site kingsofspins.com for several weeks.

ACF London  From 2009 to 2012 Phil co-launched, curated and hosted the Austrian Cultural Forum London music series Sound Park Austria which stimulates the creative exchange between Austrian and British musicians. The concerts are hosted regularly in London.
